“A Chorus Line” is the ultimate celebration of the American Musical. Audiences will share in the story of 16 dancers competing for 8 coveted spots in the chorus of a Broadway musical. Through the audition, they bare their souls while sharing stories of their childhood, ambitions, fears, and experiences in show business. This groundbreaking Tony Award & Pulitzer Prize-winning musical is for anyone who has ever put it all on the line. A Chorus Line is an enthralling and emotional metaphor for what drives each of us to achieve our dreams.
“A Chorus Line” will be held on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00 p.m. and on Sundays at 2:00 at the Hendersonville Performing Arts Company located in the City Square Shopping Center, 260 West Main St., Suite 204 in Hendersonville. For ticket information or to purchase your season tickets, please visit our website at www.hpactn.com or call the theatre at 615-826-6037.
New Area Code Coming!
Middle Tennessee is getting a new area code. Area code 615 is almost at capacity, and it will be joined by area code 629. Please get in the habit now of writing your phone number with the area code. Be sure your area code appears on your business cards, checks, signs, and other items. In early 2015, it will be mandatory to dial a 10-digit phone number to make a local call. It is important to note that all cities and towns in Middle Tennessee will have some phone numbers in area code 615 and some phone numbers in area code 629. Theoretically, you could have a phone number of (615) 234-5678, and your neighbor across the street could have (629) 234-5678. For more information, please see; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Area_code_615

American Cancer Society
Needs Volunteer Drivers for Patients in Sumner County
Despite remarkable progress in the fight against cancer, there are many cancer patients today whose greatest challenge isn’t lack of treatment. It’s lack of transportation.
Right now, the American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery program needs volunteers from the Goodlettsville and Hendersonville areas to drive cancer patients to and from their treatments.
If you have a car and insurance, safe driving skills, and can drive as little as one morning or afternoon a month, you can give someone peace of mind and the chance to get to their potentially lifesaving treatments.
To volunteer, contact Katie Petersen, the Society’s local staff partner based in Nashville, at 615-341-7319 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Those needing transportation assistance or cancer information should contact the American Cancer Society 24 hours a day at 1-800-227-2345.
Road to Recovery ensures that patients have transportation when they need it the most. For these patients, our drivers are a lifeline. It’s a valuable service, but one that requires tremendous volunteer manpower, which means we’re always looking for new people. Some patients simply do not have a vehicle or may be too ill to drive. Family and friends can sometimes help provide transportation. At other times, a patient’s lack of transportation may prevent them from receiving potentially lifesaving cancer treatment. Road to Recovery reduces the burden felt by many patients and allows them to focus on getting well. Volunteers may drive as frequently as their schedules permit them to transport patients to and from area treatment centers.
