Driving Miss Daisy
February 13 through March 1, 2015
The Hendersonville Performing Arts Company presents “Driving Miss Daisy” by Alfred Uhry with special permission from Dramatists Play Service.  “Driving Miss Daisy” will be presented February 13th through March 1st with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and on Sundays at 2:00.  Set against a backdrop of changing world events in mid-century Atlanta, a feisty southern widow and her proud, but soft spoken black chauffeur journey from suspicion and mistrust to respect and deep-rooted affection.  The play is a delicate depiction of racial tensions and of growing old.  The show is directed by Jill Dunlap who is assisted by Angie Walker and features Aaron Echols as “Boolie”, Elliott Robinson as “Hoke” and Kym Sims as “Miss Daisy.”  For more information or to purchase your tickets, please visit our website at www.hpactn.com or call the theatre at 615-826-6037.  HPAC is located in the City Square Shopping Center, 260 West Main St., Suite 204 in Hendersonville.

Mandatory 10-Digit Dialing Coming February 28, 2015!
Middle Tennessee is getting a new area code.  Area code 615 is almost at capacity, and it will be joined by area code 629.  Please get in the habit now of writing your phone number with the area code.  Be sure your area code appears on your business cards, checks, signs, and other items.  Please change all seven-digit phone numbers in your contact list in your smartphone to 10-digit numbers.  On February 28, 2015, it will become mandatory to dial a 10-digit phone number to make a local call.  It is important to note that all cities and towns in Middle Tennessee will have some phone numbers in area code 615 and some phone numbers in area code 629.  Theoretically, you could have a phone number of (615) 234-5678, and your neighbor across the street could have (629) 234-5678.  Numbers in the new 629 area code will start to be assigned around March 28, 2015. (To clarify, if you already have a phone number in area code 615, you'll keep the same phone number and area code 615.)
